Qualifications

NY Parapets is led by Michael Hakimian, a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York, and an active real estate developer.

Before forming NY Parapets, Michael worked as a structural engineer at Severud Associates, where he designed residential & commercial low and high rise buildings. Michael also worked at several construction management firms, and is a partner at The Hakimian Organization, a prestigious developer & property manager in New York City.

Michael’s combined experience and background as a licensed PE, developer, and construction manager gives him a unique advantage when it comes to inspecting parapets for compliance, and offers smart and cost effective solutions for remedies (when applicable) to owners and property managers.

Michael graduated from The Cooper Union in 2005 with a Bachelors of Engineering degree, majoring in Structural Engineering with a minor in Architecture, and currently volunteers in several civic programs.
